The Bat Knob gives me an added edge. It gives me a quicker bat, and that helps my power. I can swing a bigger bat with the same speed as a smaller bat. And a bigger bat is more intimidating to an opposing pitcher.
The Bat Knob adjusts to fit most aluminum and composite bats. Its hard outer shell simulates the knob of the bat and provides a repeatable location to position your grip. With the bat knob, your young ballplayer has a visual and physical cue as to where to hold the bat, and, in most cases, he will be prevented from positioning his hands closer to the butt of the bat. Players who use the Bat Knob experience increased bat speed, bat control, power, confidence and more hits.
The BAT KNOB complies with most recreational and league rules (Cal Ripken®, Babe Ruth®, Little League®, and NCAA*) for use on all bat types and will become increasingly important as new bat rules become effective that limit the advantage of high tech bats.
Your young ballplayer can also “grow in to” a larger bat, with the assistance of the bat knob for when the bat is slightly too large for him. This can save you countless dollars on new bats throughout the years.
*In NCAA the Bat Knob complies with rules for use on Wood Bats. In NCAA rules it is unclear whether it complies for use on non wood bats and we suggest you check with your game umpire.
Instructions for use:
- Inspect the Bat Knob and ensure that it is not damaged in any way.
- Position the two halves at your desired hand placement location.
- Assemble the two halves together, around the shaft of the bat. Ensure that the plastic protrusions from one side fit into corresponding recesses of the opposing part.
- Feed the hook and loop strap through the “D” ring and pull tight, and secure it back on itself. Check that the strap is secure and that the Bat Knob fits tightly around the bat shaft. There should be no gap between the two halves, when they are assembled.
- Swing confidently and get a hit

The Bat Knob is made from tough, impact resistant ABS and should last for years. However, to maximize safety read and follow the procedures below.
- Inspect the Bat Knob before each use and ensure that it is not damaged in any way. Check that the plastic outer shell and plastic protrusions are undamaged. If it is damaged in any way discard and replace it.
- Ensure proper fit. Secure the Bat Knob on the bat with no gaps between parts. If the Bat Knob cannot be made secure, discard and replace it.
- Failure to follow the above steps may result in serious injury.
